“Introduction to the Handpan ” is an in-person, dynamic, and engaging course designed for beginners eager to explore the world of handpan music. Whether you’re a yoga teacher, sound healer, music enthusiast, or a beginner seeking a unique musical experience, this course provides a gateway to the expressive and meditative art of handpan playing.
We’ll delve into the fundamental principles of handpan playing, including hand placement, striking techniques, and rhythm exploration. Through hands-on practice, students will develop the foundational skills needed to produce captivating melodies on the handpan.
You’ll learn:
Different types of rhythms, playing techniques and styles
How to improvise and create your own compositions
How to play with a partner and/or for groups, ceremonies, and sound healing sessions
With a maximum of only 5 students per class, you’ll get significant one-on-one teaching to ensure your experience is personalized.
The in-person classes take place in a beautiful, nature-inspired venue in Little River.
